|Homework will be thoroughly covered in class. It will be collected
at the beginning of each actual class. All problems must be done
on the appropriate paper from the purchased Working Papers book. Exercises
may be done on either accounting or notebook paper. Since homework is collected
at the beginning of class and since you must have a solution available
when it is discussed in class, it will be necessary for you to make a copy
either by hand, by copying machine or with carbon paper. I suggest
that you turn in a copy and retain the pencil original so that corrections
can be readily made in class. Homework will be reviewed to determine
that you have at least made an honest effort to get a solution. It will
not be graded, per se. You will receive either full credit, partial
credit or no credit.
For credit to be received for homework, these rules must be followed:
Homework will not be returned. Late homework will not be accepted unless you have been seriously ill, or have another acceptable reason. All late homework must be submitted directly to me after class with a verbal explanation of why you think it should be accepted. Missing only one or two assignments during the semester will not affect your grade.
A solutions manual is available in my office any time I am there. It may be used to verify your solutions on problems (both assigned and extra problems you may decide to work) which you have already solved. It is not available as a "crutch" to help you get started.
