Mid-Term and Final Examination
| The exams cover the chapter material indicated on the Schedule
of Assignments. The final is not comprehensive. Exams
will consist of any combination of true/false and multiple choice questions.
They will test you on the most important parts of the assigned material.
The best way to determine what those are is to experience the virtual lectures
and do the homework exercises and problems. Exams will primarily test your
understanding of the material, your ability to synthesize information,
and your analytical ability, not your ability to memorize!
Using the computerized tutorial
is an excellent way to prepare for them. If you wish to use a calculator,
you must use the one I provide.
You are expected to take the exams as scheduled. They must be taken in the classroom. You will receive a mark of zero for missing either unless the absence is excused. You will be excused if written evidence is presented indicating that the absence was caused by illness, a death in the family or other serious reason. A job conflict is not a reason for missing an exam. You must schedule your job around the exams, not vice-versa. If you are ill, I must be notified prior to the exam. All other absences except for a death must be approved at least one week prior to the date of the exam. If you are excused to miss an exam, a makeup exam must be taken at my office on the Baltimore campus on a timely basis. |
