Fall 2000 Schedule of Assignments
GB613.51 (Columbia Schedule)
GB613.61 (Timonium Schedule)

What to Skip in Text
Unless told otherwise on this page, read the entire chapter assigned. Near the end of most chapters in the text is a section titled "Analyzing and Using The Financial Results...". Since all of the ratios discussed in these sestions are covered in more depth in GB615, Managerial Accounting, you should skip reading them in our text. You may also skip reading the following sections at the end of each chapter: "Understanding the Learning Objectives"; "Demonstration Problem"; and "Questions". Also, skip Chapter 14 completely.
About Exercises and Problems

Selected "Exercises" and "Problems" are assigned for most chapters. Completing the assigned exercises and problems on your own is critical to the learning process. Solutions are available online for you to use AFTER you have worked the exercises and problems on your own. I know from 30 years of teaching accounting that looking at the solutions before you complete the exercise or problem (i.e., using them as a crutch) will be detrimental to your learning and to your course grade. You must exercise the good judgment which comes with maturity. You are not an undergraduate student!

Technology Note

The course Web site, virtual lectures, homework solutions and the CD-ROM are designed for optimal viewing using either the 640x480 or 800x600 resolution in your computer's display properties settings. Use of the 1024x768 setting is strongly discouraged.
